The movie Kishkindhapuri was made on a budget of about ₹25 crore. For a mid-scale film, this is a fair investment. The box office, however, has given mixed results.
In the opening weekend, the film showed some promise, but collections dropped on weekdays. Critics gave it average reviews, saying the story is simple but slow. On IMDb, the film has a rating of around 5.7/10, which shows that the audience is divided.

Hit or Flop Verdict
With a budget of ₹25 crore, the film needed at least ₹35–40 crore worldwide to be safe. So far, it has managed ₹20 crore only. Unless it makes a big comeback in the second week, Kishkindhapuri is heading towards flop status.
About the Movie
Kishkindhapuri is a mythological drama based on Kishkindha, the legendary monkey kingdom from the Ramayana. The director kept the storytelling simple, but the screenplay moved slowly.
Performances from the cast were decent. The hero’s action scenes had a mass appeal, while the songs were average. Visuals were fine, though the VFX looked low-budget. The music was traditional, which some viewers enjoyed, but the younger audience found it boring.
The film released on a normal number of screens, not a wide release. The makers expected families to come, but only the weekend crowd showed up.
