Madharaasi Box Office Day 1: India Gross Collection Stands at ₹14–16 Crore

The film Madharaasi came with a very big budget of around ₹150–200 crore, making it one of the most expensive projects of Sivakarthikeyan’s career. On its very first day, the film collected ₹10.5 crore net in India, while the worldwide gross was around ₹20–25 crore. For a movie of this cost, the opening is decent but not very huge. Critics gave mixed reviews—some praised the action, music, and Sivakarthikeyan’s powerful performance, while others said the story felt too familiar. On IMDb, early ratings are around the average mark, which shows that audience response is divided.

When we look at Madharaasi’s start, we see a film carrying the weight of huge expectations. A ₹200 crore budget means the makers were aiming at a pan-India success, maybe even global recognition. But the opening tells a different story.

The advance booking in Tamil Nadu was strong at ₹7.35 crore gross, but this was still lower than Sivakarthikeyan’s earlier film Amaran. Overseas pre-sales were disappointing. Fans in Tamil Nadu celebrated with first-day-first-show banners, whistles, and cheers, but outside Tamil Nadu, the craze was limited.

Critics have said the film has style and action, but the story does not bring much freshness. That is why the IMDb rating is just average, not high. For such a big-budget film, both critical love and strong box office are needed, but here we see only mixed reactions.

Still, one thing is clear: Sivakarthikeyan has given his best, and his fans are fully supporting him. The film’s future depends on family audience response and how it holds in the second and third days. If it touches ₹100 crore in the first week, then it can march ahead. But if it slows down, the cost of ₹200 crore will become very heavy.

In short words, the film has made a decent but not extraordinary start. It is standing in the middle of success and risk. The next few days will decide if Madharaasi turns into a winner or ends up as just an average attempt.

Madharaasi India Net And Indian Grossed Box Office

On Day 1, Madharaasi earned ₹10.49 crore net in India. This is the money after tax deduction. Tamil Nadu gave the biggest support because Sivakarthikeyan has a very strong fan base there.

The gross box office collection in India (before tax) is estimated at ₹14–16 crore. Out of this, Tamil Nadu contributed the maximum, while the Hindi version had a very small start. Considering the hype, these numbers are not record-breaking, but they show that the film has some pull with mass audiences.

Madharaasi Worldwide Grossed

The film’s Day 1 worldwide gross collection is estimated at ₹20–25 crore. This includes India and overseas markets like North America, UAE, Singapore, and Malaysia. Interestingly, advance booking in Tamil Nadu was around ₹7.35 crore gross, but in North America, the film struggled, earning almost 70% less than Sivakarthikeyan’s last release Amaran. That shows the overseas market did not respond as strongly as expected.

Madharaasi Day Wise Box Office (India + Worldwide)

Right now, only the first-day collection is officially available. On Day 1, the film made ₹10.49 crore net in India and around ₹20–25 crore worldwide gross. Overseas response was weaker than expected, but Tamil Nadu numbers gave some hope. For the next days, we need to wait and see if the holiday weekend helps the film.

Madharaasi Hit Or Flop

With a budget of around ₹150–200 crore, Madharaasi must collect at least ₹180–200 crore worldwide to be called a hit. On the first day, it only managed around ₹20–25 crore worldwide. That means the road is very long. At present, the film cannot be called a hit or a flop because it is too early. But if the collections drop after Day 2 or Day 3, then recovery will be very difficult. The future depends fully on word-of-mouth and weekend performance.
