Dhruv Vikram's 'Bison Kaalamaadan' Becomes a Hit, Outperforming Father Chiyaan Vikram in 2025!

​Dhruv Vikram's latest Kollywood film, 'Bison Kaalamaadan,' is officially a box office success! This sports action drama has successfully recovered its cost and started making profits within just nine days of its release in India. The movie's good performance comes despite strong competition from other releases like Pradeep Ranganathan's 'Dude.'

​Strong Collections After 9 Days

​Thanks to positive word-of-mouth and the Diwali holiday boost, the film maintained a healthy run. After earning ₹27.25 crores in its first week, it saw a slight improvement on Day 8 (Friday) after releasing in Telugu, collecting ₹1.75 crores (up from ₹1.6 crores on Day 7).

​The biggest jump came on Day 9 (Saturday), when the film earned ₹3 crores, marking a massive 71.42% increase from the day before!

​According to Sacnilk, the Total Indian Net Collection for 'Bison Kaalamaadan' stands at an estimated ₹32 crores. Including taxes (GST), the Gross Domestic Collection is ₹37.76 crores. The film is now expected to easily cross the ₹35 crore Net mark soon.

​The success of 'Bison Kaalamaadan' is especially sweet because its production budget was reportedly only ₹30 crores. By recovering this amount in just nine days, Dhruv Vikram has secured a certified hit for 2025.

​This stands in contrast to his father, veteran actor Chiyaan Vikram's theatrical performance this year. Chiyaan Vikram's only release, 'Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2,' ended up being a financial disappointment. Made on a reported budget of ₹55 crores, it earned only ₹42.71 crores Net, resulting in a loss of over ₹12 crores. Clearly, in 2025, the son has celebrated success while the father saw a setback at the box office.
