Kishkindhapuri: Complete Review with Story, Acting, Direction, Pros & Cons, Should You Watch

Kishkindhapuri Movie Review

Honestly, Kishkindhapuri had potential. Mythology plus action can always excite. But scriptwriting thoda lazy tha (was a little lazy). Audience aajkal fast entertainment chahta hai (wants fast entertainment nowadays). Yaha story slow and heavy lagta hai (here story feels slow and heavy).

Weekend mein families gaye (families went on weekend), but repeat audience nahi aaya (did not come back). Log bolte hai (people say) movie ko OTT pe dekhna better hai (better to watch on OTT).

Review

From the start, the movie tries to build a world filled with kings, warriors, and divine powers. Director ka vision accha tha (director’s vision was good), but screenplay execution thoda weak. The story follows the kingdom of Kishkindhapuri, showing the politics and power struggles among characters.

The film mixes historical elements with drama, but sometimes feels stretched. First half is okay, but second half mein pace slow ho jata hai (pace becomes slow). The emotional scenes look repetitive. Some audience said, “Yeh scene humne pehle bhi dekha” (we have already seen such a scene before).

Story

The story is based on mythological roots. It tries to show loyalty, betrayal, and the fight for justice in Kishkindhapuri. Hero fights for dharm (righteousness) and audience ko message dena chahte hai (wants to give message to audience) about truth and honesty.

The concept is powerful, but dialogues are weak. Many scenes feel heavy without impact. Villain entry is strong, but villain character lacks depth. Kahani mein masala hai (the story has spice), but recipe thoda bland ban gaya (recipe became bland).

Acting

The hero delivers a decent performance. Action sequences thoda stylish lagte hai (look a bit stylish), but expressions are limited. Heroine ka role kam hai (heroine’s role is small), mostly supportive. Villain played with energy, but script did not give him zyada scope (much scope).

Supporting actors like ministers and sages did thoda better kaam (somewhat better work). But overall acting department could not lift the weak script. Audience ka reaction mixed tha (reaction was mixed). Some clapped in fight scenes, others got bored in emotional tracks.

Direction

Director ne bada dream rakha tha (director had a big dream), but presentation mein gap dikh gaya (gap was visible in presentation). The movie tries to balance action and drama, but neither is fully impactful.

Some scenes are shot beautifully, especially the kingdom landscapes. But editing weak hai (editing is weak). Transitions are slow, and runtime feels heavy. At 2 hours 45 minutes, it is lamba safar (a long journey) for viewers.

Critical Response

Critics called the film average. Kuch log bole (some people said) visuals are fine, but screenplay flat hai (screenplay is flat). IMDb rating around 5.7/10 shows public bhi divided hai (public is also divided). Weekend crowd thoda enjoy kiya (enjoyed a little), but weekdays were empty.

Plus Points

  1. Mythological theme attracts family audience.
  2. Some action sequences look grand.
  3. Music has classical touch jo accha lagta hai (which feels nice).
  4. Visuals of palace and battle scenes are well made.

Minus Points

  1. Screenplay bahut slow (very slow).
  2. Dialogues weak.
  3. Runtime too long.
  4. VFX thoda low quality lagta hai (looks a little low quality).
  5. Emotional connect missing.

Technical Department

Cinematography is decent, showing kingdom in big frames. Background score thoda powerful hai (a little powerful), especially in battle scenes. But songs do not stay in memory. Editing is the weakest part, film feels stretched. Costumes look authentic, but sets sometimes appear artificial.

Music Review

Music tries to follow mythological base. One devotional track works, but other songs do not create much impact. Young audience ne bola (young audience said), “Gaane boring hai” (songs are boring). Background score saves some scenes.

Should You Watch Kishkindhapuri

So, question yeh hai (the question is): should you watch Kishkindhapuri?

If you love mythology, grand palaces, and action with old-style drama, then ek baar dekh sakte ho (you can watch once). But if you want fast, entertaining cinema, then this movie might feel boring. Acting is okay, visuals are decent, but screenplay is slow.

In short, Kishkindhapuri is a movie with good intention but weak execution. Watch it only if you are interested in mythological tales. Otherwise, wait for OTT release, sip chai, aur enjoy karo ghar pe (and enjoy at home).
