The Indian crime drama Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula, has been one of the most anticipated films of 2025. Starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil, the movie was produced under Amigos Creations by Suniel Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao. The film was mounted on a budget of ₹120 crore, which included production, printing, promotion, and advertising expenses.
Opening and Advance Booking
Before its release, trade analysts predicted that Kuberaa would earn ₹10–15 crore on Day 1 in India, and the worldwide opening day collection could cross ₹20 crore. Advance bookings in metropolitan cities such as Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bengaluru were strong, with fans showing excitement for the multi-star cast and Sekhar Kammula’s storytelling.
Indian Box Office Performance
Kuberaa opened with ₹14.75 crore net in India on its first day, and the weekend was strong, with ₹48.6 crore net earned in the first three days. However, the film witnessed a sharp decline from Monday onwards, which is typical for big-budget releases.
By the end of the first week, the film collected ₹69 crore net across India, with the Telugu version contributing the most (₹48.7 crore), followed by the Tamil version (₹18.38 crore). Smaller contributions came from the Hindi and Kannada versions.
Over the next two weeks, collections dropped, but the film managed to hold on weekends. By Day 24, the total India Net Collection stood at ₹88.8 crore.

Hit or Flop?
With a budget of ₹120 crore, Kuberaa needed to cross at least that amount to break even. Thanks to strong overseas earnings, the film managed to surpass its budget, ending with ₹135.75 crore worldwide gross. While not a blockbuster, the movie can be considered a semi-hit or an above-average performer.
About the Movie
Kuberaa is a bilingual crime drama shot in Tamil and Telugu and later dubbed into Hindi and Kannada. The movie explores themes of power, greed, and justice, with Dhanush leading the cast in an intense role, while Nagarjuna delivers a powerful performance. Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil bring depth to the narrative, making it an engaging watch.
Despite mixed weekday collections in India, Kuberaa achieved a respectable worldwide performance. With a ₹135.75 crore global gross, the movie successfully recovered its budget and proved to be a steady success in 2025’s competitive box office race.
